MISS CONSERVATION COMPETITION

The competition is designed to educate the general public, especially our youth about the quality work of conservation NGO’s in Belize.  It will demonstrate that our youth can creatively portray the work on the NGO’s.

 

Winners in the competition will be awarded with partial scholarships to pursue an Associate Degree in 2008.

                            First Place         $1000.00

                            Second Place    $700.00

                            Third Place       $500.00

 

About the competition:

 

The competition will include:

  1. Introduction
  2. Talent Presentation
  3. Modeling - Field Trip to a Protected Area
  4. Interview
  5. Musical Interludes

 

Candidates are required to:

  • Use a T-shirt with sponsoring NGO insignia for the  introduction of the competition
  • Express creativity in designing a costume for the talent presentation
  • Respond adequately to pre-prepared questions based on conservation
  • Role Play going on a field trip to a Protected Area
  • Volunteer at sponsor NGO for at least 10 hours

 

Sponsoring NGO’s:

  • Sponsor candidate’s expenses for the competition
  • Arrange for candidate’s transportation to the competition
  • Ensure that their candidate has the necessary information and costumes to best represent them
  • Ensure that their candidate is prepared and punctual to competition
