TIDE Ranger Luis & villager Thomas

TIDE ranger converses with a hunter from a local village not only to educate him, but to develop a sense of trust with the community. This allows hunters to build trust with TIDE and voice concerns they may have in relation to TIDE conservation areas.
One village member admitted that he used to hunt for wild life as a source of food and did not care whether the land was own by private holder. Since TIDE rangers explained hunting laws to them, they are now aware that there is legislation for wildlife hunting in Belize.
