Today for Earth Day, schools in many parts of the Toledo District of southern Belize are being assisted by staff and volunteers from TIDE and other organizations to plant trees on their school grounds. This activity encourages learning about how we as individuals, groups, and communities impact the well-being of our planet. We will share photos in the next few days.

Today we would like to share with you the mural at St. Peter Claver School in Punta Gorda. Stephanie Eichler, a TIDE volunteer, had the idea for and created this astonishing work of art. Although the mural has now been completed, the photos reflect the work in progress.
