Santiago Cucul is from Punta Gorda. After doing an apprenticeship man in Placencia, he traveled all over Belize doing electrical and plumbing work. Five years ago he became a ranger for TIDE and loves his job. Driving the boat up the Rio Grande, camping in the jungle and hearing a tapir stamp its feet or a jaguar roar, heading out on night patrols in the rain . . . Santiago loves it all. He lives with his wife and two babies.
